Overview

Today (Figure 4.1) aims to provide a basic overview of your life's events, or at least as they relate to today, as well as being the main application launcher and manager!

The Date button at the bottom contains a summary of missed calls and new messages, and any events we have scheduled for today.

The row of buttons along the top of the Today application will, when tapped, launch other common applications, including the Dialer, Contacts, Messages, and Calendar.

Along the bottom are three tabs to access other functions of the Today application. The second tab accesses the application launcher while the third tab accesses the application switcher.

If we have any missed calls or messages, then the Date button will include this information, as in Figure 4.2.
