Maps

The GPS functionality is accessible on the Neo1973 GTA01Bv4 with the installation of the separate driver called gllin. This GPS driver comes with restrictions on its distribution and is available from http://3rdparty.downloads.openmoko.org/gllin/. Download the ipk file, then upload it to the Neo (perhaps to /media/card), then install the package:

neo# ipkg install gllin_1.0\+r350-r0_fic-gta01.ipk

In the following sections we cover some of the applications available for using the GPS on the Neo. The primary application is tangoGPS which uses OpenStreetMap maps to render our location.

Other applications are available, in particular Pyroute. A fuller list is available from the Wiki.
